| Bill Christensen, Director |
Bill Christensen has been the Director of the LLC since June 2000. Although
his current professional responsibilities run more to things technological,
his educational background is in Spanish-language literature, with a spcialization
in the Renaissance and Baroque. (Ph. D, Hispanic
Literature; UT Austin, 1997). He is also an experienced pedagogue, having
taught Spanish language and literature for more than a decade. His current
interests are focused on the use of web tools and programming to deliver
online assignments and exams, as well as oral assessments.
He also conducts technology workshops, such as the workshop on
Macromedia Flash he conducted at the IALLT conference in Ann Arbor
in June 2003.

Eric Hanke began his position as the assistant director of the LLC in August 2002, but has been a member of the Southwestern community since 1997 when he arrived as a student. He graduated from Southwestern in May of 2001 with a BA in International Studies and German. During his time at Southwestern, Eric studied for a semester at the Universitaet Osnabrueck, in Osnabrueck, Germany.
